The program aims to equip doctoral students with the skills and tools to conduct responsible, transparent, and ethical research, which is essential for ensuring the quality and credibility of science and knowledge production in an increasingly interconnected and interdisciplinary environment.
By addressing complex challenges such as research integrity, ethics from the project design phase, critical thinking, anticipating unintended consequences, epistemic responsibility and innovation, values in science, the social and economic impacts of research, data management, the responsible use of AI in research and scientific writing, authorship and publication ethics, open science practices, scientific misconduct, as well as ethical review mechanisms and the functioning of the respective committees—this program supports the development of reflective and ethically conscious researchers, prepared to contribute to the sustainable development of society through reliable and socially responsible science.
