Please take note of the following important information regarding the organization of this Unit:
• The Topical Seminars consist of oral sessions with invited speakers, all recognized experts from different areas of Public Health. They will present their work and share their professional experiences.
• Each seminar will take place in the classroom, in the presence of the Unit coordinator.
• At the end of each session, there will be time for Questions & Answers.
• You must confirm your attendance (by signing an attendance document) at the beginning or end of each session. Please remember that attendance is an assessment criterion.
• Communication with students will be carried out through the Moodle platform. Ensure you have access to it, as all information will be shared there. This may include PowerPoint presentations, recommended readings, and other materials provided by the speakers.
• Assessment: The written exam will include open questions about any of the topics addressed during the seminars. Final grade= Written test (80%) + Attendance (20%). Students workers who are granted the corresponding status are exempted from attendance; the grade of the written exam will be the final grade. Questions will be written in English and can be answered in either English or Portuguese.
